Try Google or else use the search function on this forum, all of this basic information is widely available.

About data storage and magnetic recording, plus very technical details, there are a lot of books, most written by Japanese and American researchers/engineers. Their cost is high, some books are in the 100$ range but they are worth their price. Understanding servo and positioning and some other things pre-require math and signal analysis background.

Search Amazon for books. Maybe even wikipedia. Search Google with keywords (platter, head stack/HSA, spindle, GMR, etc). The information is available, and it's not likely a professional will take the time to explain the most basic of drive operations, especially considering the information is already out there.

Sorry for this answer, but posting details or do the search for you requires too much time. Can't help that way for free, sorry. You are asking to be trained or a sort of class. It's beyond a little help.

Google for Scott Moulton presentations. For dummies they are quite all right.

look in the files section and read the Samsung service manuals. Maybe this will give you some insight
