Hello,

I successfully changed Volume ID(using Mark Russinovich program), but there is needed also change of TIME. Very actual for me question - how can change Volume Creation Time without full format of hard disk. I am interested in any methods - registry, programs or smth else. Where this time is stored? And How can change it?

It's really very needed as soon as possible. I would be very grateful for ANY information about this subject.

OS Windows XP

Thank you.

Why would you need to know how to change the creation time?

You should detail exactly what you wish to achieve by this.

i need it for some security installations. as i already told id was changed succesfully but officially hard drive is still "old".

It's very important to change it, so if someone know - how can do it or can give some information in which way i need to search it would be VERY VERY good and i'll be very grateful.

Situation, system(no special conditions WinXP, NTFS) and needed action is described, all other is not so important. If there is no information about subject please don't write at all, but if there is or you have some questions not about WHY I NEED IT? but about system conditions or smth similar please ask

Thank you.

I think we are more than capable of deciding what is important and what is not.

I asked you the question as I wanted to determine for myself whether or not you wanted this information to break software protection. Your answer leads me to believe that you are, so as far as I am concerned you are on your own.

So there you go, you've already lost my help - looks like you might have to figure this out on your own! Good luck!

You need to edit MFT timestamps
