Can someone tell me the drive family for a wd500aaks-00v1a0? It's not listed in the family table of my PC3K manual.

FYI, even in the event of a problem with the drive you can quite often have PC3K identify the drive family from the electronics by setting the jumpers to kernel mode and asking PC3K to auto identify it.

Obviously, if the electronics are screwed you will need to identify it using other means...
