I purchased a mSATA adapter and it does not fit this SSD at all. Does anybody know a more specific name for this SSD card?

Can you take picture from other side of SSD and empty slot.
On mSATA should be marker pin in the middle of connector not on edge like on SATA.
Like last idea check is the connector looks like mPCI .

Some comments on this SSD and also the one from some Macbook Airs

http://www.anandtech.com/show/5854/asus ... compatible

Most importantly,

Quote:
In other words, the MacBook Air and Zenbook SSDs are not compatible with one another.
...
One last thing, neither of these SSD form factors is compatible with mSATA although they look similar at a distance. mSATA features a wider, double-sided connector with more pins than either of these two options.

Thanks for posting the article drc and the replies from other members. Manufacturers should stick to industry standards!!! The customer has put this in the too hard basket so I am closing this thread.
