Thats ONE of the benefits of having a good friend from the other side of the world.

@flykiller, you are getting close...... very.

I don`t think so. If can`t switch to uart boot mode, or change this port (0x30420064) value. Then is can`t unlock .... :P never

I got some good news few days back (for you here) that one of my friends (Chinese to be more specific) was able to modify the MCU directly
the App. costs about 3000$ (he was planning to sell it but thinking how to protect his tool from copies)

so its possible my dear "There is Always an Entry..."

Do not believe the TV & Media, you should see it by yourself to Judge...

In my opinion I think that the Chinese Gov. (in general away from politics) spent a lot of time years of developing their own country from inside and not paying much attention to the rest of the world and they did very well on that but NOW recently (5-10 years only) they discovered that mistake and started to correct it.

Thats why (again in my opinion) you will have a hard time communicating with the Chinese specially when it comes to Tech. Support or Products line.
they used to their own BIG Market and its more than enough for them.

But they are really catching up very quick and that scares the others...

Just take a close look @ Amazon vs Alibaba on the last few years for example and you will know.

finally...

good to see you here pepe again

have a good day

FYI, some Seagate ROMs contain references to an HRK (Hidden Root Key?):

However it appears to be "nuked" or "bypassed".
