Resign Seagate SAS DS firmwares?

February 29th, 2020, 11:53

Hi,

Is it possible to resign Seagate 12G/s SAS Digitally Signed drives?
for example, ST12000MM0009 ( skybolt ) has Digitally Signed Firmware,

Does anyone know any way to resign firmware after modification?

No, it's not possible outside of Seagate.
Only Seagate FW developers can sign the firmware and even they don't have access to actual signing key.

Unless you have a quantum computer with 2048 qubits you won't be able to re-sign the FW.
