i have a sata 40gb hard drive but suddenly it stop working and my system say boot disk faliur. I tried to reboot but it say no hard disk detected and after some time it start working fine but next day same mence started again can any one help me.

during this mence hard disk is completely dead no sound of rotating at all my power unit working fine please help me.

This one's easy. Get a new drive, and reinstall Windows. Or, simply recover from the backup you made at the first sign of Hard Drive trouble.

Also, it might be a cable, bad MB, or something else, but you didn't give us enough information.
