You really paid $100 for a IDE/SATA USB adapter? You realize you can get the exact one they supply for $8 from Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/Drive-Adapter-Con ... ds=ide+usb LOL |

Sorry, yes. USB to IDE, not SATA. But it's still not a regular $8 IDE to USB adaptor, that's what I was trying to say |

SalvationData are mangling the terminology. AISI, their adapter connects a USB mass storage peripheral to an IDE host. The commonly available adapters connect an IDE device to a USB host. |

I don't know if it's the same device (the pinout looks the same), but here are the technical docs for Epson's S1R72U16 IC which bridges an IDE host to a USB mass storage peripheral. S1R72U16 Datasheet: https://www.epsondevice.com/support/int ... u16_ds.pdf http://pdf.datasheetarchive.com/indexer ... 631119.pdf S1R72U16 FAQ: http://global.epson.com/products/semico ... 16_faq.pdf S1R72U16 Technical Manual: http://ndap3-net.ebz.epson.co.jp/w/www/ ... u16_tm.pdf S1R72U16 Product Brief: http://www.eea.epson.com/portal/pls/por ... 111503.PDF Attachment:
