Maybe he's just looking to reverse engineer his own pirated PC-3000. :D

There's really nothing that special about the hardware itself. From what I can tell, it's a pretty basic control card which just has it's own special drivers so Windows doesn't try to access it.

F.L.A.M.E. guys apparently built a similar system using an off the shelf card which I'm guessing they just flashed with custom firmware.

It's really more about being able to lock the software (which is where all the real secrets are) to the hardware so it can't be pirated easily, and doesn't suffer from OS interference.

Yes, the card can do some great things like power cycle the drives etc. But I'm pretty sure the VSC are stored in the software, not the card, otherwise you'd have to update the firmware every time a new family is added (which you don't have to do, just a software update does it).

And even if you do mount the drive, the software is what handles all the interfacing with Windows. It uses a virtual driver which communicates to the Data Extractor software, then the software communicates back to the actual PC-3000 card.

Don't get me wrong, I love my PC-3000. Couldn't get by without it. I'm just saying the real magic is in the software, while the hardware mostly just acts as a buffer between it and the OS.

olá spildit!
I don't want it to work... that's why I wrote: "functional of not". "Don't need attachments" and "preferably non functional."
I understand they pretty much useless. I want the PCB.

Must be original please.

Do you have an old one I can buy por favor?? .:)

Please PM if so.

IMHO the hardware is one giant software protection device :D
