Further to that, it isn't even close to the model of drive you are seeking.
If your goal is to recover your files, seek professional assistance before it is too late, assuming it isn't too late already.

Lesson learned ... i will never try again to translate a joke from german to english.
This ebay-link was a joke - but i really need a matching donor. Patient's heads are dead (3 of 6 left) and I bought a donor with PN /AV2. After headswap and initializing with headmap changing in RAM the drive IDs and reads slowly from all heads but freezes every 20-60sec.

What tools are you using and what have you done to stabilize the drive?
Is it the same head/s that makes the drive "freeze, are heads working as expected when you put them back in donor?

agreed why waste money if you are going to do it first time, there are absolutely more information required for matching a donor.

I'm using M9T-Tool from apextoollab and PC3K-Samsung-Tool/DE from ACE. Drive doesn't initialize without RAM headmap changing, so i think there is media damage in SA on Head0. With Headmap 111111 drive ID's but get BSY after some reading on ALL heads. So i think donor doesn't match. I didn't change the heads back to the donor yet.
What kind of "stabilizing-options" do i have? Thanks.MindMergepk wrote:+1

Again, this ebay-link was a joke! I've done headswaps many times. What kind of information do you need other than these in my first post? I have an good matching donor but last character in P/N doesn't match. I followed the matching criterias on donor drives blog but read anywhere else, that the last three characters after slash in P/N should also match.
