I just applied the 1.4 upgrade to my Atola and I have to say HUGE difference. It looks like a lot of work has been done on the interface and everything just works!!

yes, updates (usually every 4 to 6 weeks) are free.

I'd like to clarify: updates are free for the first year after purchase. Then you can buy yearly subscription.
