Hi Everyone,

Today and finally I got Atola Imager :D
But when I try to connect it to the computer, I get this error messege
http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/6537/error2j.png

Maybe I connect the unite in a worng way? :?
I connect the unit to the computer with a network cable.
Before connecting the device I installed the software but after that I didn't do any settings in my IP adress, like default gateway or something.
I'm using windows 7.
I tried to shutdown the firewall but nothing.

What should I do?

Many Thanks!

Hello,

Try manually setting the IP address of your PC to something like 192.168.0.xxx (xxx can be any number from 1 to 253 except 177) and network mask 255.255.255.0. This should resolve your issue.

I had to reset the IP address on mine when it arrived. Perhaps you should remind dealers to reset the unit to default before it is shipped, or put a nice big sticker on the box saying the address may need to be reset, I had the find it in the manual, and I don't like manuals ;)

That's a very nice idea! I will see if we can put a label somewhere. Maybe a removable label that sticks directly on the top lid?

yes, or perhaps a sticker over the ethernet port, which will be a nice reminder :)

I suggest to add it to the manual itself because in mine that line would have been very helpfull.

this is how you do it

print this out for future uses

1.

Open Network Connections

2.

Right-click the network connection you want to configure, and then click Properties.

3.

On the General tab (for a local area connection) or the Networking tab (all other connections), click the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) component, and then click Properties.

4.

your see the following below input those numbers how you see it

Use the following IP address,

1) IP Address: 192.168.0.176

2) Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

3) Default gateway: 192.168.0.177

done it will connect

but be warned if your using your windows updates
this can reset the ip adress to automatic
