I want to do a PCB Hot Swap using an Atola Insight but I'm not sure it supports it. The unit has a device->spindown option that when applied appears to stop the motor while retaining power. I assume this function exists to perform a PCB hot swap but I can't find it documented anywhere and I don't want to mess up the unit.

Has anyone used the Atola for a PCM hot swap?

Regards,
Dave

Hello Dave,

Device->Spindown is exactly what you need. Do not worry, the hardware unit has all kinds of power protection (including persistent shorts/over-current).
