Dear Atola Bandura owners,
I am glad to inform about the latest release of Bandura firmware. Apart from bugfixes, it contains 5 new features:
- Checksum calculation for Source & Target disks in the same time
- Automatic bad sectors repair function (for so-called "soft bad sectors")
- HPA / DCO max address management
- Erasing: Option to erase Source & Target disks simultaneously
- Imaging: Setting to enable Read Long usage for bad sectors on a last pass

Atola Bandura Firmware Update

Just wanted to chime in here and say how pleased I am with the new update especially. It's just been a few days but this has addressed practically every issue I was having a problem with. The bad sector repair is wonderful and the bug fixes to the "data only" imaging has just moved this in front my my Ninja Kaze unit.
The read-long option alone just made my deepspar a little nervous

All we need now guys is imaging to a network drive, I know this is a difficult one given the user interface, but the hardware is already there. This coupled with the recent FW update would make this an awesome imager...

The Atola Imager (not Bandura) is capable of network imaging, so I can see how it may very well be possible.

there is no doubt ... I am pro Atola ... but
there is no doubt too, that I am one of the intense users
of these tools and just finished a test:
One of the new features of the Atola Bandura is the
erasing of either one (target) or both (source + target) hdd.
All other tools I know up to this test, run only drives with
the same size, slow down speed with each hdd added and
use the maximum speed of the slowest hdd for both drives
connected.
***
The outstanding feature of Atola Bandura is that drives are
erased parallel + each drive is handled in its own maximum
speed, besides the fact that the 2 drives dont have to be the
same size.
Guys, this product is hot, hot, hot - call Santa Claus !!!
