Atola Insight Hangs during Media Scan

I have performed media recovery to remap bad sectors on 3 different drives. Next I ran the Media Scan and the system either stops at an LBA much smaller than the max LBA or the entire system freezes and I have to power cycle the Insight and the system running Atola in order to continue testing. Media Recovery completed with remapping statistics.

You are right after the last software update it started to hang on media scans. I see this one on one Hitachi HDD that is still not supported in the list and can not back up FW on this one. Even if the disk is supported on the list and FW can be backed up after you use the feature remapping and try media scan the system freezes. You have to power off the HDD on the controller panel and try and stop it then it will unlock but then you still can not perform media scan on this one. I tested this and it is very true. I tried it on 7 drives and on all of them does the same thing.

We are currently investigating why it happens, could you please give me more information about it:

1. Do you use USB or Ethernet unit?
2. Was all of these drives from the same manufacturer?
3. Do you experiences hang ups even if the remap wasn't performed?
