 Post subject: Cant load any info from Maxtor 40GB

I got a Maxtor DaimondMax Plus 8

When i connect it to hd doctor for maxtor and click load from hdd - it jsut flicks and nothing loads- shows error
the same thing happens with DC- power on - spinds up heads reads SA- error.

But if plugged into computer bios detects hdd model number and size correctly. it takes a bit longer but it does it.

But in os nothing shows in any utility.

Anybody can suggest something- its a bit strange.

Well thats bad luck - it doesnt pick up in bios anymore.

Seems like some intermittent fault - loaded in DC now and extracting data- lots of bads.
DC ERR comes up allot too.
