 Post subject: Data Compass Vs Deepspar Imager

Hi guys

DC and DDI ....Which one would you buy? I was thinking of getting DC but I am not fully convinced the capabilites, anyone have a clue on how powerfull DC is in case of heavy bad sectors , i am talking about a very heavy bad sector which will cause head to damage.

heavy bad sectors?

it seems that the DC new feature will help you.

Image by selective heads.

But they are still test it.

DDI 2.0 was released a few days ago. Deepspar can image by heads now. I'm happy :D

Would be interested in your results as well.

Deepspar is much faster but data compass gives you more for your money. Probably best to compare data compass with data extractor.

But data extractor is software based solution and DC is hardware + S\W is that right?

No, Data Extractor is a software application that is compiled to only work through PC3000. It is more of a hardware solution, than a software solution, in my mind. I've never used Data Compass and am awaiting a good side by side comparison of these tools.
