I'd like to see some screen capture video for DataCompas. Curious about its abilities and methods.
Now I'm using Pc-3000 but I'm going to purchase another product.

yes, but I'd like to watch, how does it work.

I mean next:

1. What exact models are supported and what methods are supported for certain models
2. How does the software organize the modules and resources?
3. Are there any kind of manuals or help files included? I like educational videos, they really helped me a lot.

Actually, I need no courses but the tool for data recovery.I checked the videos but the quality is pretty low, so I even cannot see the text.

Is it possible to see some screen capture or screenshots for some cases that were recovered with DataCompass software?
Just some easy case, like WD Translator regeneration case.

Thanks in advance.

Chef, I'm not sure Salvation data tools able to recalculate WD translator because they could just clone some parts from PC3K tools. I couldn't suggest you to buy their tools. You'll be unsatisfied. I do not understand why are you going to buy another product. I'm in data recovery about several years and I like ACE tools. Nothing could be better! :D It's just my subjective opinion.

Ah, now I figure out, DataCompas is supposed to work with partitions on good drives, but to work with firmware, you have to purchase Data Doctor software. Is there anyone who tried it?

I need to know if there are any tricks with repairing SA, that PC-3000 UDMA cannot perform. I have some drives, where SA was successfully read, but it did not let you read the data.

Yes. Salvation Data tools allows to read user data directly from the platters. No need HSA/PCB. You need just working motor in HDA and it is enought. :D

Hi,
i think everyone has his own preferred tools i personally don't like ACE customers policies and support, and this made me change to salvation products ... but as i said is only my experience and opinion
About SD products if you want to work on firmwares you need HD doctor. Data compass is to extract datas, image drives, rebuild RAID, fix cache problems on seagate drives ... i think you can find a lot of informations on their web site and many case studies that can help you to choose the product that fit to your needs.
bye

Contact them I see they had a program to loan out the Data Compass for testing purposes. Not sure if the program is still going on or not or you can find them. Check some old posts it is in there.
