First off I believe you are using SD tools on this one. You have a WD problems that is well quite common on this one. Drive clicks three times, spins up and down. Then it repeats itself three time until the drive stops spinning all together. In your SD tool you can see your HDD is read. You can not load from HDD. But you could save the ROM on the PCB board if you loaded the directory and went to ROM and saved it.

You need to match your drives PCB board by the number printed on it. If you did this one and you have friend your board and bricked it.

This drive is more than likely a head issue on it. The head is spinning. clicking and not reaching the SA to read from it that is why it shuts down. It tries three times before it shuts down.

I do believe that if you are not sure what to do it is dangerous to work on a clients drive and especially random write ROM to different PCB board to make it work. You should be contacting SD now on this one and having them help you and see if you can use another method to fix this mess you have gotten yourself into with these tools.

You need to understand what is wrong with the drive before attempting any sort of repair on it what so ever. In repairing this way you lose clients data and destroy chances to fix the drive when you are done with it. Take some time and do some R & D to learn your drives. Practice on them first until you know how to fix them and get the data back off of them. Do not work on clients drives as learning drives this one is not acceptable in this field and can lose all data on a drive for the person who contacted you to get back his data.

i think you just need another pcb with same number and flash it with sutable rom or hotswap it again but with good sutable rom not that one you used

about your pcb you lost it that youe rom include in the master chip and no way to make it work again unless you chang this master chip (MCU)
now you have to find another good pcb but don't use that ROM again

i lost of of pcb in this

no certain way for this in my humble knowledge but
you have to open it in hex . in the end of it you will find ffffffffffffffffffffffff in last line and above two or three lines you find the word ROYL
* the bin file in royal alwayes start in 5a

regards

HI, This might come out as a late reply
1)Get a universal programmer(autoelectric is good)
2)Get the rom either out form the board or use a soic8 test clip to connect the rom to the universal programmer(MATCH PINS PROPERLY).
3)Read the chip in the associated software.
4)Clean the chip memory using the software
5)Load ROM code from your backup

and it should spin up.
