All,

We have Flash Doctor and a 16GB flash drive (2 data chips). We have read the chips in several times and a few different ways. We have also worked with SD Support 3 different nights (with no luck, as they usually are only present for an hour or two during their whole 8 hour shift). Frankly, we're tired of staying up til the early hours of the morning here waiting for one tech to come back (after mysteriously disappearing for hours).

All that said, would anyone want to make some extra money remotely assisting in a chip rebuild? We'll be fair on pricing so long as you are, PM us with a rate you'd feel fair. Ideally we'd like to pay only if you're successful, but if you put many hours in with no luck (but we learn some new techniques along the way) we may be swayed to compensate you for that. Bonus points if while you're working, you actually explain what you're doing and why (instead of SD's methods of doing things silently).

The thumb drive is FAT32 if it makes a difference, client is looking for mostly office documents.

Thanks,

Dizi

Hi,

The model is UT165-L84. Please see a picture of the controller attached if you need additional information printed on the chip.

@Col,

Unfortunately we are getting ready to leave for the day. Might you have a chance to look on 4/1? What part of the world are you in, or when are you generally available? We're at GMT-4.

Just a tip to Col, you have to manually change the page size on Flash Doctor to successfully read UT165. At least on version 5. This means they will probably have to read the chips again.

Good luck.

I can help you but not by TV. Dumps must be uploaded to my server. If you are interesting send me PM.

@Northwind,

I'm assuming you mean to change the page size to to 32? We did that the second to last time we received "support" from SD, so if that's the case then we're already good there. We're running version 6.

@Col,

PM sent.

@Arvika,

If Col is no help, we'll probably be contacting you.

Thanks,

Dizi

Hey everyone,

I'm with the same company as Dizi, and he asked for me to follow up on this while he is out on vacation. Unfortunately we are unable to upload the data to external sites, policy reasons, so if anyone is experienced with flash doctor and alright with TV, please let me know.

Thanks

i guess for your case here my dear, remotely with your tools will not help
expert here with more high-end Tools (+ knowledge) will TRY your Flash Dump n read it and re-construct it with more Pro. tools
which is impossible via TV.

my opinion here and good luck :>
