Seems like firmware is not read for some reason.
Can you describe the drive's physical behavior after power on?

Probably you will find that spindle is stopped, and is a physical issue.

If you need the data from the drive you can try Hot Swap and see if you can gain access to SA that way .... If not Heads/Pre-Amp might be damaged.
If you can gain access to SA by hot swap you can then copy the defect lists and translator to the donnor drive and do a smart hot swap to get data back.

Actually i had a WD MY BOOK that freezes reading the plist and i cannot acces the data also because of the damage and the drive cannot be detected without the usb controller board from WD. Can i do something about it doing that?
