Hello

Quick question what does exactly the Auto repair option does on WD drive? have you ever done that and then the WD drive starts to a BSY state?

Thanks

It's the same with the repair option on WDR.
If you "repair" on a wrong drive / pcb and then flash that to ROM chip then ROM will be damaged and drive will be BSY because of damaged ROM.
Only way to fix is with external programmer or JTAG if ROM is embeded on MCU (or with other less-know ways or by populating ROM chip on Masked Rom PCB etc ...)

Hello,

You can try find donor and try ''Hot Swap'' PCB. Sometimes it's work.
