The fragments of a Maxtor manual - available for download on the SD forum
was infact a pre-information to SD of the originally published version
from Ann LeFlore - where she still was under impression that there is
a valid contract.

The original manual from Ann includes 192 pages - the fragments from SD
are 26 pages .....

It was clear, that Ann does not allow to use this manual or parts out of it
to be published from SD ! SD asked - Ann insisted - NOOOOO !

SD - WHAT THE HACK DO YOU THINK ABOUT COPYRIGHTS !!!???

How should anyone trust ?

Thank you all for your support in this one. I know that the manual is facing problems. But an agreement has been made to allow SD to use this manual with my name on it and to keep my copyrights on this book. I guess I should feel honored to have written such a good book for DR recovery on Maxtor drives. I know it is based on this tool only and also there is a lot of people who have requested this book and now own my copy of it.

In the further it is possible to still request this book from me or if you do go and belong to the SD forum and own this tool you can also get a copy of it from there. I hope this clears up all poblems and thanks again for all your support in this one.

Other manual are written and very close to finishing. If anyone is interested in them please send PM and request. I can not hand the new ones out for free. Sorry about this. The work is long and takes a lot of time to debug and figure out thiese tools so they can be used correctly. I have gotten a good handle on the tools in writting these manauls and testing them with no not client drives but old ginny pig drives I have here in stock. I am limited on some drives and models to finish all the testing on these features but when done I will let all know and if interested in a good manual such as the one you have already received from Maxtor please let me know.

Ann LeFlore

Ann,
This may be off-topic. I have looked at the Maxtor manual, but there seems to be info missing on the use of the jumpers etc. included with the tool (and using safe mode). Is this because SD is not releasing the complete manual? I have your info on the others and am working on getting those. Nice to see a manual in readable English. :D
