You mean Samsung platter extraction?
We do not see them stucked at all, what drives You get?

The two-platter version of the HM160HC. I don't remember the exact model number offhand, but it may be HM160HJ or something very similar.

The motor was seemingly damaged by physical impact at construction site. The drive housing is bent ever so slightly near the spindle bearing. If you put the drive on a flat surface, one end corner is ~2mm higher than the other. It doesn't sit completely flat like a non-damaged drive would.

So it would seem that platter extraction is the only way to go here. As far as I can tell the surfaces are not damaged. The head assembly may also be undamaged. I don't know at this point.

According to the customer there's a mix of personal and work data, with the personal data being more important of course.

I can also improvise and come up with something.
