 Post subject: Quote needed for hard drive repair/recovery.

MODEL: First up it a 640GB Western Digital Caviar Green WD6400AADS (Oct 16 2009).
ISSUE: It spins up, but reports incorrect size (250.2GB) SA issue?
DATA: Need audio files. Amount unknown.

Client states he went to copy a file to the drive and revived an error and the drive wouldn't mount again.

Note: I also have 4 more pending jobs- but I need to find a trustworthy and competent service provider to handle this one first. My customers are middle class. They are not necessarily "cheap" but their data is not worth Ontrack/Drivesavers prices.

As far as issues with the drive, I could be many things: logical issue (a couple of hundreds) to mechanical and firmware (a couple of thousands)

Suggest to look at the WD data recovery partners at wdc.com.

Plenty of good choices. Call around and see what works best for you.
