Deep knowledge of file systems like NTFS, FATxx, exFAT, Ext2/3/4, HFS, HFS+, XFS, RaiserFS, UFS.
Deep knowledge of firmware and system area structures for all current vendors (Seagate, WD, Hitachi, Toshiba), plus older like Maxtor, Fujitsu
Higher skill level of internal works like heads and platters swap and drive reassembly/assembly.
Higher skill level of internal works with crashed drives.
High experience of RAID recovery (all levels)
High experience of NAS/SAN recovery
Advanced PC3000 user.
Have no problem in flash extraction (Soft-Center FlashReader and ACE FlashExtractor)
Familiar with all phases of the DR process from evaluation through recovery completion
Soldering skills
Programmer skills (C, C++, Delphi)
Can work with Windows, Mac, *nix (GUI, command like)
Fluent in English and Russian
Permanent Resident in Canada.

There are many other issues involving a business besides just knowing data recovery in itself. And, in my experience, they are not fun.
At best, maybe find a partner (which again sucks as finding the right people is difficult and tedious) to open the business with who will handle the non-data recovery responsibilities.
