Questions about repairing corrupted modules

June 13th, 2014, 9:11

I suspect these questions are relevant to others' tools, but am not sure. If they are, perhaps the post should be move to the Knowledge Base sub-forum.

1. One can repair corrupted modules by reading tracks, splitting them to modules, then using the parsed modules to replace the corrupted ones. Where do the corrupted modules reside, if not on the tracks being read and parsed? If they comprise the track, how can the modules be corrupted when read as modules but not when they are extracted from the track they comprise?

2. Why can modules be corrupted when read by ID but not when ready by ABA?

This may or not be true. In some circumstances, some tools may show corrupted because the tool has design issue.
