HI !
I have a hard drive WD20EARX 2.0TB its on a NAS in EXT2 drive type, but now I have I/O error and cyclic redundancy error.
When I try to recover with photorec = nothing error reading after much times.
When I try with TESTDISK it cant find the partition and when I make a search the software freeze after 4 hours.
I try to clone the drive with DDrescue and I receive a read error after a half-hour.
I try Clonezilla = cant find the partition.
I try all recovery soft on hiren boots CD and always bad result.
Anybody have a really working solutions about that problem ?
Thanks in advance

If you cannot clone with ddrescue, it is time to seek the assistance of a data recovery pro before any further damage is caused. With appropriate data recovery tools and knowledge, the drive can be assessed and possibly recovered for minimal cost.

sorry to say but i feel $300 is actually cheap.
it may be more expensive if when its taken in and assessed, something more is wrong with it.

I guess I don't count, eh? If you are expecting less than $300, that isn't going to happen.

While I've been on the phone, the same answers already were posted.
If you want to do it in Canada, $300 is a very good price already. Moreover, I'd say be sure that's not some cowboy, who just wants to try to get some extra money. Should he fail, you are likely to pay at least more, if not much more afterwards.
Besides
