WD 3 TB Have 3 partition.One partition taking long time to open and other were opeing.i rest the PC
and i can see all three partition but i cannot see all three partition total size againg i rest computer
then i can see the drive but it sowing on bios and device manger.the drive turn on and knock and then off.Any idea???

Change Cable--Done
Check other computer---Done
Clean the Contact (J1) ---Done

Using Win7 X64

Should give quite an idea that everything isn't so well.
Could be heads issue, SA damage, surface defects.

What you're looking to do? I'd suggest to stop torturing the drive - it won't revive itself, but chances are that situation can be made worse.

Totally agree, drive has serious issues if it knocks and spins down, and not DIY :-(
