HDD Password

June 28th, 2017, 8:39

Hiya all,

I have spent hours upon hours trying to figure out how to remove the password from my Hitachi HDD, the details are:

Make: Hitachi
Model: HTS545032B9A300
Firmware: PB3OC64G

I have UBCD and Hirens Boot CD.

does anyone have any ideas on the best way to combat this? If i am unable to remove the password to recover the data then how can i format it to remove password and data? but i would prefer to save the data.

Do you think if i get the same model hdd and swap the PCBs that it would work?

thanks :)

Any data recovery company should have equipment like PC-3000 which can quickly remove the ATA lock. Whether on not they will do it, is another story. Some might be concerned that you're trying to break into someone else's hard drive.

Try to contact @pcimage from this forum, he is located in London, I think.
