No. I would not buy the pro-version just because of on-the-fly-hash. I would buy the pro version because of everything else (i.e. the software does a good job).

forensics don't necessarily need a hash in the form you are asking for.

it just needs an accepted documented process to show the chain of evidence.

You could probably find some smart assed defence "expert" to poke holes in the hashing method.
