Android Password Bypass

September 11th, 2019, 15:36

I know the subject has been approached here before, but so far the posts I've seen have gotten no answers, so here goes...
I've got a Samsung Galaxy S8 that has a PIN on it; the owner of the phone was killed in a car accident, and her husband has no idea what she had for passwords. So, I'm trying to get into a phone that's locked, doesn't have USB Debug mode on, and could have millions of dollars worth of data on it.
I've seen a few options out there for this, and the phone does have USB OTG on it, so some of the hardware solutions would be more than reasonable to invest in to get access to this phone. However, does anyone have experience with any of the hardware or software solutions? Specifically ones that work without Debug?

Your subject here looks familiar to me (posted somewhere else)

For ONE TIME case, better to consult a Pro. Company and pay for it, not worth buying expensive tools for it...

Like wanna go to the Airport, would you Buy a Car? or take a Taxi?

good luck

So far the companies I've talked to who do cell phone data recovery won't do anything without the police having a case they're working on. This may get to be a pain if that's going to be the case, even if I want to send it out.

I did find your post, Einstein9. Very interesting, makes me wish I had the tools right now to create such a device.
Probably the worst part of the issue at hand is that, despite the fact I'm one of the only people in at least a 30 mile radius who does forensics, even the fact that I work for a security company doesn't qualify me to buy much of the hardware that exists for issues like these. Of course, not very many people would need to pay for my services anyway; how many people store business data on their phones without backing it up? Probably too many, but not enough to warrant the service in this area.
