Does the drive identify itself with its full capacity?

Can you show us the contents of sector 0 with a disc editor (eg DMDE freeware)?

It appears that the drive is OK and that you have installed it in a USB enclosure that is configured with a 4KB sector size. However, the serial number of your drive doesn't bring up a My Book product at WD's warranty verification URL. Therefore I'm wondering what kind of enclosure you are using, and whether the drive was originally installed inside your computer.

Could we also see the hexadecimal data in sector 0? (Select Mode -> Hexadecimal).

Thanks a lot for your tips
I was using a usb adapter to connect to PC
I connected via SATA and voulá, everything was working again.

This is to show that such a great community of people could enlighten the dumbest ones (me) :D
