Hello everyone;

I have a monolithic USB PEN DRIVE, it seems that the controller is damaged and i canĀ“t get the dta from it, so i would like to know if there a possibility o recover the data from it. The pictures below shows the type of pen drive that i have. I'm not findinding any kind of way to recover the data from it. Any sugestions?

Thank you very mutch.

A DATA Recovery lab can connect to the round pads and attempt to access the NAND directly. It is a common recovery, though success varies.
If you do not own Flash recovery tools, this is not DIY due to the complexity of wear levelling algorithms, DATA whitening and knowing how to successfully dump the NAND in the first place (pinouts, chip config etc.)

If you say your location, a local DR Lab can be suggested.

You will need a thin wires connected to special Monolith adapter this way

That's a beautiful picture (but I am kinda biased!) Looks like in the process of pinout discovery for the wires to be also on SD Pads

What a beautiful color of wires! I have only one color... ;)

You can get cables like that (single strand) from old telephone cables - or new telephone cables :)

Hi,
You can also use small copper wires from traffo

any thin wires will do, you just need to test to see how well it solders. common places to fild it: in DC power cords, split the strands - generally about .09mm, wrapping wire for transformers etc, can be pretty thin, usb cables, charger cables etc.

Oh ,
Was he referring to enameled copper wire ? i think so this is what he meant

You can use basically any thin (0.05-0.1mm) enameled copper wire for more precise work, as RDane said.
This wire on picture is a way too thick for smallest monolith pads (vias) with diameter ~0.3mm, but works fine for Sandisk SDs

Thin one looks like this

From RJ45 we can get even more colors or hue,
or single wire from rj45 will be to tick? I think so, I will check

cat5, cat6 cable way too thick. make sure you test with vernier calipers and make sure wire thickness < 0.1mm
