Post subject:  LBN, LPN, ECC Bitmap View Detection

Hi

I have PC3K Flash but am trying to understand VNR. I have the page set up correctly in the recovery I am doing now and am working on the SA and have a few questions:-
1. I cannot see a Header in the bitmap? is this normal? Do some flash memory not have headers?
2. Do I have the LBN and LPN and ECC in the correct places?
How do I define where the LBN starts for the Marker Table.

You help would be much appreciated

1. Yes, not all flash have header in SA.
2. Yes, LBN, LPN and ECC is correct on your screen.

LBN - check few blocks vertically on Bitmap, you will see change in vertical lines.

But how does that help me define the position? (sorry if I'm being slow)
Many thanks for the help.

In typical situation LBN change value in each blocks. So vertical lines will be other in each block. if you scroll down, you will see. Sometimes there is more vertical lines, so little harder to define LBN, but it is matter of practice.

When you attach markers table, you select item (e.g. LBN) from the structure - clone structure to markers table with LAMP button and you don'y need to care about offset.
From next update structure and items will be copied and set automatically to avoid routine.

Are you offering training n the US anytime soon? I live on the West coast of the USA and to travel to you for training would cost me in excess of $5,000.

Yes, we definitely have this idea, I think this will happen not earlier than 2016.
