Read Chip ID says 2 crystals, but model number says only 1

March 30th, 2018, 14:44

Hi

I'm confused. A pen-drive uses two Kingston FD64G08UCTI-4. This NAND does not exist in database. However, read id says "98D7989272", and searching for this in database gives three chips: Toshiba monoUFD (x2) and Silicon Power mUFD 4YM4TB53T. None of these has two crystals (according to the configuration window).

What am I missing here?

EDIT: Also, if I go to "ONFI configuration", Parameters page, and click "Read parameters page" I get only zeroes.

you can have same ID with any number of crystals. same ID can be used for different chips, as Toshiba will sell just nand chip for other manufacturers to put in microsd, or in other package.

you most often can just change number of crystals and use everything else for that ID as it is.

Some IDs might be DDR, other chips with same ID might not, so try changing the SDR value as well..

Reason it isn't in database for 4 ID's is probably they haven't come across it yet to test.
