The original ROM recognized the disc with the wrong size and a lot of crazy characters in device name. I bought a firmware for this HD this site: http://www.hddfirmware.net/product/wdc- ... 986609zip/ and with a help of a universal EPROM burner made a backup chip content 25LD020 and saved him the purchased ROM. From there the disc recognized with the correct name without displaying the crazy characters, but the size is wrong it shows only 1.3 tb and not 2 tb. The MRT PRO says it has error in RAM that the ROM is correct

I thank you for your reply.
I do not have the right to commit error in HD. I'd rather pay for someone who has experience make this service using a remote access. I need to find someone to do it. I can not use a client HD as a guinea pig or learning object. Please who can make a remote access to fix this I'll be very grateful. Thank you!

Firstly, the thing to do is put the original ROM back to the drive and show what was reported by MRT originally.

OK.

Does the drive spin up as normal and stay spinning?

Or does it spin up, click a little and spin down?

Or spin up and sit for a few minutes without clicking and spin down?

Normally on drives with bad SA the spindle stops spinning.
You should be able to change the firmware zone aba to prevent firmware loading and then scan the drive for modules, find the dir, and attempt to read the other modules on the SA.

In any case i think you should outsource the drive to someone with more experience.

Maybe someone working on Brasil and reading this are willing to take this case ?

Spildit ,
How do you change that ?

Insulate the head contacts so that the drive doesn't read SA from the platter when it starts.

Then it depends on the tool you have.

For WDR utility the option is on Actions - Region Map Edit and i've made a guide where i use that function to play with the DIR module :

On PC-3000 the option is on the "Tests" "Service Information" "Work with Rom" "SA Regions Editor)

I don't have MRT here neither access to one right now, so i can't check it out for you, but check on the menus of the Marvell tool and you should find it there somewhere.

Well,
Currently i Am Refurbing a WDC 500 GB HDD .Once that is over i will look into this .Yep Ace also has a guide for this .For MRT There is zero documentation and this is something new users should watch out
