When using Fujitsu notebook hard drive under operating system, if you set a power-on password, it will be synchronized to the password of hard drive. As a result, once the user forgets the password of operating system, he will lose access to the operating system as well as the hard drive, let alone the data of it. In this case, if you decrypt in firmware level, you can clear the password so as to access the data.

Fujitsu factory program decryption can be done without the original password. This operation requires connection to the serial port. The position of menu is shown as follows:
"Test -> Clear HDD Password"

Corresponding shortcut button locates at the main toolbar:

The operation of decryption is very simple. Connect HDD power supply, data cable and serial line. Enter the program. Click the menu button or toolbar button shown above to start decryption.

If the serial port is not connected, baud rate is not correct or HDD terminal environment is damaged, there will prompt “Initializing serial terminal environment failed!”

If the entry "Clear Passwords: ..............................: Success" appears on the Log page, that indicates the decryption is successful.
