I have to hand it to MRT, that looks exactly like a reverse engineered PC3000 PCI-E RED card. |

drdoc wrote: Seagates commonly have faulty power protection diodes. I frequently see them with shorted burnt diodes. If you plug them into a pc it will shutdown the pc because of the sudden power drain. Thats why I always look at the seagate for burnt diodes first. The other day I plugged a seagate into my pc3k and got no response - I think I got 3 lights and no spin no ID. Which model? |

I didn't hear about this kind of problem before. I am also using the seagate. I want to ask that what kind of protection circuit it consist i mean the specifications of the full protection circuit? Also how we could resolve this and is there any another alternate circuit instead of this one? |

If so, show me a detailed photo of the relevant section(s) and I'll work it out for you. DixMohr wrote: Also how we could resolve this and is there any another alternate circuit instead of this one? There are probably hundreds of alternatives, but we can't get started until we understand the existing circuit. Do you have any electronics knowledge? |
