I've just signed up for a copy of MRT Ultra Online mainly because of the cash flow advantages over other specialist hardware. However, as I am now finding out MRT Labs more or less give up on technical support after you've made the initial payment.

It seems like a decent product but the lack of documentation is very frustrating. Does anybody know of a decent source for an intermediate user? I've installed the hardware and got it running and can scan disks along with other things but the lack of any decent help from them is very frustrating. It beats me why you would go to the trouble of designing this product then not help people use it, particularly when you aren't getting a lot of cash up front.

Please, no smart arse comments about you should have bought a PC3000 or similar. I run my own small IT company and having taken Scott Moulton's data recovery couse sometime ago I am now fairly ok with principles and practices but can't currently justify the large outlay at this time. I could just do with a bit of help with this product....

Despite the lack of decent documentation i have just recovered 450gb from a damaged Seagate drive using MRT Ultra. Like I said, it seems a decent price for a small computer business like mine that wants to expand into data recovery but can't yet justify the outlay on a PC3000 yet. I just wish they followed up with decent support..

Mrt Labs seem to run training courses in China and have now said there will be one in Iran. It's nearer to the UK than China but as somebody who doesn't fancy an extended grilling at US Customs next time I go to the USA I think I'll give Iran a miss.

Many thanks for the helpful reply. I've got plenty of drives to work with now.

Your site looks very useful. I'll be working my way through it..

Very useful. I've worked my way through the articles and help, as I said, I took Scott Moulton's 5 day residential course last year and after a lot of hard work I'm starting to pull everything together. Nobody around my area seems to offer in-house data recovery which is something I should be able to take on from some of the local pc support businesses.

Regarding the look of the MRT Ultra interface it does look very similar to PC3000 if not nearly as comprehensive. In music they would might call it "sampling" or in print "an homage". At least if you didn't want to get sued.

Dear All,

Data recovery is a professional and complex technic, has bunch of related resources and tutorials
This leads to the difficulty of finding exact tutorial among the huge technical database.

We are working on the new tutorials and arrange all the tutorials in one link, which will be easier for you to find it.
You can refer to this link: http://en.mrtlab.com/users-guide-of-mrt ... -materials

We have hundreds customers inquiry everyday, if the technical support didn't reply you in time, you can also refer to your sales consultant.
We will try our best to reply you in time.

Any questions, please feel free to let me know.

Problem is that PC-3000 is WAY BETTER and MRT is ... very buggy.
Some MRT tools are junk and this includes the Samsung tool ... Others are more or less.
At least you have a decent imaging/cloning tool hardware assisted.
Too bad the on-the-fly decryption is very limited ...

It's pathetic I have to even ask this - but may I pay you for a walk through (screen sharing) session of imaging with MRT??

I've made images, but they NEVER effing work!! and nothing else reads them. It's SO! INFURIATING. To wait 3 days for something to image ... only to have useless data. At least what I recover on my DDI or Atola is ACTUAL data. And can even be processed by other things. MRT makes zero effort to make their crap comprehensible.
