 Post subject: Force enable write cache on ST31000340NS

Hi
I have this HDD ( model:ST31000340NS EIT firmware version:MS03 serial number:9QJ38T12 ) and now it have write cache disabled and no luck to enable that with HDD feautur settings, is there any other way to enable write cache?

Maybe you have some problem with the drive ?

On IBM based drives (Hitachi and HGST included) when there is firmware issues like damaged modules or modules that take some time to read the drive will initialize with write cache disabled and you will not be able to enable it unless you fix the firmware issue first ...

Maybe your drive does have for example bad heads, some damage at any level, etc ...

I have many bad sector on drive, exept this there isnt any error, so there isnt any direct solution for that case?
