MRT is for ATA drives (IDE/SATA) and as far as I know you can't plug a SAS/SCSI drive on it ....
WDR is for ATA drives as well and it will work on Marvell based drives ....
I don't think that it will work on SAS ....
Unless the SAS drives do use the same VSCs and that is NOT LIKELY at all as most likely they will be using something like CDBs ... etc ...
Maybe you should check HYDATA ? But i'm under the impression that the HYDATA tools are for Seagate only ... NOT WD ...
