FULL version includes data extractor software and REPAIR version doesn't? What software comes with the repair version then? Is R-studio a suitable replacement for MRTlabs DE software? Can I purchase the data extractor software at a later date?

Full verison is for both data recovery and HDD repair, repair verison is just HDD repair, no DE.
You can buy repair version first and then upgarde to full version, it is convenient.
Repair version and full version software is the same, but you can't use DE if your card is repair version, when the card upgrade to full version, you can use DE.
