ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB - BAD DISK AND MRTLAB PROBLEM

October 2nd, 2018, 18:06

When I try to copy the data with DE to an extended image, MRTLAB begins to consume memory until the computer hangs.
It just happened to me with this HDD model.
In addition randomly detects or not the P / N of the HDD, and when it does not detect it I can not make a map of heads.

Apart from these problems with MRTLAB, this disk when it takes a while copying stops copying and I have to turn off and on again.

Does anyone know any parameters that can stabilize the HDD?

Thank you.

Possibly he also finds an error when creating the head map, since he reads all the heads well except the number 3 and when there are a few hundred sectors before reaching the head 3 the reading fails, when the rest of the sectors read them at high speed .

What does the terminal show when it is imaging in DE?

I'm sorry I gave it to the client this morning. I needed the data first thing in the morning.
I'm lucky to have a disc with compatible heads. It was the damaged 0x03 head, although under the microscope it looked in good condition.

Next time I will be careful to keep the log files, which can be quite important and I did not keep them until now (badly done by me).

Greetings and thanks for your interest.

Thank you. The answer is correct but the patch you have is for windows x86 and I have the x64.

Can you provide it?
