They are copying ACE in more ways than one.

As a MRT user I wish one day they will finally also copy ACE abilities.
I think what happened here is at the time known users from this forum declared they bought mrt tool ,some of them even recorded it in video to all the world, for long time we didn't heard for them any negative feedback about the tool which make many people to think this is really professional tool so many of them (including me) decided to buy this tool, after some time many users found out that it actually nothing more than a imaging tool, the other functions works only in few hard drives models and does not work in most drives, (and of course the shield heads function that they are always proud of it that never used in the data recovery field because it destroys all data).
So now many users want to sell their MRT tool and MRT want to stop the drift, but this will come to them in boomerang because which new users will take the risk to buy this tool from a novice company knowing they will not allowed to sell the tool ?

What you understand from here ?
http://en.mrtlab.com/terms-of-use
"2.Notes
In order to ensure the interests of customers and prevent unscrupulous merchants from shoddy products (such as second-hand transfer), the products sold by official channels have registration and activation procedures. After receiving the products, customers must register and activate them before use. If there is no such a process, that means it is a product sold in an informal channel, it is an informal product or a non-new product. MRT Lab does not provide any technical support and product warranty services for users who purchase products that are not normally purchased. The product information should correspond to the registered customer information. The hardware and software also adopt a one-to-one correspondence to prevent all piracy. Once the product is permanently retained and used, it cannot be changed. The company’s working hours are from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:30. Please noted this if you want to purchase directly from us."

You can also see in your account the "Transfer" option disappeared.

Actually they not allowed to change the terms to old users,is not it ?

I suppose it would depend on the corporate laws of the country and I suspect that they really just don't care that much.

I think that a tool after being registered on their system, can be activated as many times as you need on as many PC's that you have.
I believe that what they say is that if you buy a tool on another place that not MRT, you might not get it working because it's not original.
