Star by posting a terminal log ?

MRT is not very good for ST-10 drives ...

What is the initial drive problem ? Does it click ? Can you access to LBA space ?

Can you post a terminal log ?

MRT have that drive stuck at BSY and without ID ...

Maybe it's because it went to terminal mode like T> or even F> and ATA commands are not accepted ... Again post terminal log.

99.9% heads are gone.

On ST-10 dives if you see that HM (head mask) non stop the heads are not reading a thing.

That is why you are at level F>. It doesn't read adaptives and sa defects and even less the app code.

Replace heads. Very unlikely to be PCB related but you can try another PCB if you want just for peace of mind. There are NO adaptives on ROM on ST-10 so don't even bother with ROM chip swap, just match FW version and if you don't have PCB of the same FW don't even bother with it, just try it out. If heads are gone you will see HM. If PCB is the problem you will see message saying app code incompatible with ROM code.

Also you can try PCB alone and if you don't see that HM you should replace head stack on drive.
