Can't Get Data Explorer to Read Any Disks

April 27th, 2019, 11:48

I've raised a support ticket with MRT but still awaiting a reply so thought I ask here as well.

I have just recharged my MRT Ultra after about a year and it seems to be be starting up ok except when I use the Data Explorer.

I have followed a few videos to make sure I am setting things up correctly but every drive I try just throws up failed to read errors from the start of the first partition at the 2048 sector.

This has happened with about a dozen drives, some that I know are ok and without errors.

Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Apologies... When I said the disk wasn't being read I should have said that all I get are WRITE errors. The drive I'm trying to write to is brand new and seems to work fine in another computer. I've tested and reformatted it and can find no errors on. It shows up as the destination drive in Data Explorer but nothing is being written to it...

Well, I think I have fixed the problem. I uninstalled the software, took the device and hard drives out. Put everything back and installed the software and registered it again and now things seem to be working properly..
