Post subject: | Rosewood family MRT doesn't allow terminal or ROM commands |
Hello friends, good day. I'm having a little problem with my MRT Pro Express. I'm not being able to reach terminal on any Rosewood family. Can't read ROM neither. This happened one week from now, as I was able to do that last week. Even on good drives I'm not able to do anything. All other Seagate families are ok. Don't know what to do or what is wrong. Hadn't update it yet to the last version, so I tried that. Still the same problem. |

I'm having this trouble again... I really don't know why I'm not getting terminal on Seagate F3 on some families. I'm here stuck with only Pharaoh 7200.12 family working. Didn't try everything I have here, but none of my Rosewood or DM series have terminal access, even good drives. Please, someone give me any light. Now I know why people say to me that I should buy PC3K... but I don't have this money now. |

The terminal is locked in the latest models. Also the LVTTL level is now 1.8V, so a 3.3V serial adapter is unsuitable for these interfaces. |

fzabkar, Thank you for your reply. I know that, but the problem I had (because out of nowhere it is working again) is different. Yesterday I was having serial port error on Rosewood and DM series. Today I made contact to MRT support and didn't get an answer, but magically (I swear I did nothing) it came to life again. That is the second time I had this problem... I'm wondering if it is a problem with my MRT PC (I use a really good power supply on it). |
