190 is dead/wiped, ergo T2 killed. I don't know if MRT has the ability to do anything about it, pc3k can recover it probably. The main reason is that you didn't write protect the drive after head swap. |

Is there any link or tutorial to explains how to write protect the drive after head swap, so next time I can avoid this problem? You were right 190 and T2 were dead. I found a tutorial on MRT shows how to fix it. but even after I fixed it every time I tried to start copying data the hard drive turned itself off and on and killed T2. so I had to send 190 to MRT technician to modify it for me and sent it to me then I loaded it to the RAM and it's working now. here is the link in case someone comes cross the same problem. how to fix dead 190 T2 with MRT: http://us.mrtlab.com/tech/wdc/321.html |

I don't know MRT so I can't help, maybe the tech that helped you with this case can point you to the right direction. Generally, there are two ways: Hardware WP and software WP. PC3k has implemented a software WP solution a long time ago and it works quite nice. To me, hardware WP is even better. |
