Hello,

I've just imaged this drive. In the bios the final character from the model number was missing, SMART errors were numerous and it was reporting that failure was imminent. R-Studio didn't drop the last letter of the model number but it was displayed as a square. Many bad sectors were reported but the drive imaged successfully after 24hours and, with no bads after I relaxed all the settings.

I'm just curios really. Is it a firmware issue, the start of a G-list overflow perhaps? It's going back under warranty either way :)

SORRY GUYS. JUST POSTED THIS IN THE WRONG FORUM. I'LL LEAVE IT HERE NOW BUT THE MODERATORS CAN DELETE IF THEY WISH.

Maybe it was a damaged connection to IDE/SATA channel?
